What size storage unit do I need?
Based on past experience the team at Charters Towers Self Storage can can provide a reasonably accurate estimate on the size unit you will require. However the Space Calculator is an excellent tool to assist in calculating your requirements.
How do I gain access to my storage unit?

How long can I store my items?
You can rent a storage unit for a minimum time of one month. As long as your rent is paid up to date you can rent for as long as you require. When it comes time to move out all you need to do is send an email/letter giving 7 days notice. It is as simple as that.
How do I pay for my storage unit?
Your monthly rental fee is due in advance. This is paid on check-in by EFTPOS or cash. Each month, 7 days before your due date we send an invoice via email, post or SMS. You can pay by internet banking, pre-arranged credit card authority, credit card over the phone, cash or cheque.
Where can I buy packing boxes?
Charters Towers Self Storage has a range of packaging supplies including boxes, packaging tape, packaging tape dispenser guns, bubblewrap, packing paper, furniture covers, acid-free tissue paper, padlocks, utility rope and packing knives.
What can't I store?
You cannot store anything that is hazardous, dangerous, illegal, stolen, perishable, environmentally harmful or explosive. This includes petrol, compressed gasses, acid, toxic or biological waste, corrosives, fertilizers, paint, cleaners, asbestos, fireworks, weapons or ammunition.
Do I give Charters Towers Self Storage a key to my unit?
No. You lock your unit and you keep the key.
What happens when I want to move out?
When it comes time to move out all you need to do is send an email/letter giving 7 days notice. Once your unit has been vacated, close the door and remove your lock. Please phone to confirm that your unit is vacant. It is as simple as that.
